Ingredients
-
6 Large eggs, hardboiled and cooled
-
2 Tbsp. Gochujang Olive Oil, plus more for frying
-
1 Tbsp. Mayonaise
-
1 Tsp. Dijon mustard
-
1 Tsp. Sugar
-
2 Cloves garlic
-
½ Tsp. Alaea Hawaiian Gourmet Salt
Directions
Peel your hardboiled eggs. Eggs hardboiled a few days in advance always peel easier!
Carefully slice eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolk. Collect all yolks in a bowl.
Mash the yolks with a fork. Add in the mayonnaise, mustard, sugar, and Gochujang Olive Oil. Stir until well incorporated.
Fill each half of the egg white with some of the mixture, ensuring it is evenly distributed among all 12 halves. Set eggs aside.
Place a small frying pan over low-medium heat and put a thin layer of Gochujang Olive Oil in the pan.
While the oil heats, thinly slice the garlic cloves. When the oil is hot enough that a garlic slice sizzles upon putting it in the pan, put all the garlic slices in the oil and ensure they are submerged.
Ensuring that you stir them constantly (or they will burn), fry the garlic until it it golden brown and crispy, about 2 minutes.
Remove the garlic chips using a slotted spoon or fork and allow to cool.
Plate your filled eggs and lightly sprinkle with Alaea Hawaiian Gourmet Salt. Arrange a couple garlic chips on each egg and serve immediately so the garlic chips are nice and crispy!

This is such a fun idea! Love that such a simple addition of the Gochujang fried garlic can create such a creative dish.
Yum! Those fried garlic pieces and that Alaea Hawaiian sea salt sure give this recipe a fresh flavor.
These turned out so good! The crispy garlic definitely complements the rest of the flavours. You can use any salt to make these, but the Alaea Hawaiian sure makes them look pretty!
