Ingredients
-
½ Cup goat cheese
-
1 Tbsp. Blood Orange Olive Oil
-
20 Medjool dates, fresh and whole
-
10 Slices of bacon
-
2 Tbsp. Mission Fig Balsamic
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Slice halfway though the dates lengthwise to remove the pit, being careful not to cut through. Remove pit, and set aside.
Add the goat cheese and blood orange olive oil to a medium bowl. Mix well until fully incorporated.
Spoon goat cheese into each date and carefully wrap with half a slice of bacon. Secure ends with a toothpick and arrange in a single layer on a baking dish.
Bake dates for 20 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Arrange on a plate and drizzle with Mission Fig Balsamic.

Recipe Note
Try swapping the Blood Orange Olive Oil with our Balkouti Green Chili Olive Oil to spice up and perfectly compliment the sweet, salty and creamy flavours of this appetizer.
Reduce Cinnamon Pear Balsamic in half and drizzle on top instead of Mission Fig Balsamic.
